About This Fundraiser
May 22, 2021, Dare to Adapt is Midwest Adaptive Sport’s first-ever team challenge fundraiser. Three teams representing each of the three ACA Business Club locations in Kansas City will compete in a FUN wheelchair softball tournament. All games will be played at the metro areas only adaptive softball field in Pleasant Valley Park (KCMO) while participants learn about and experience adaptive sports. All funds raised from this community event will go directly towards KC Parks efforts to continue renovating the park to accommodate adaptive sports.

Why is Fundraising Necessary?
Phase one of creating an adaptive sports complex in Pleasant Valley Park was completed in the fall of 2019 with the opening of the first wheelchair softball field in the metro area. The project was funded through a public/private partnership.
Now that the field is open, Midwest Adaptive Sports is anxious to help get a restroom facility built. Imagine 20 to 25, or more, wheelchair softball players competing in games while the closest restroom is on the other side of the park. Join us and come have some fun to help us raise money to contribute to this next project in the park.
